Seven Eleven: It’s more than just a convenience

Lev Lalev moved our United States office to a smaller, more efficient, and a more practical location about two miles from where we were for the past four years.

Our new office is across the street from a Seven Eleven (it actually has plenty of kosher products) in additional to the usual items that convenience stores have. I have been starting my day at Seven Eleven for a long time and now that it is just across the way I was thinking about a comparison between Seven Eleven and the Lev   Orphanage in Netanya, Israel.

·        Although it’s called Seven Eleven the convenience store is open 24/7. We too provide support love and care to our girls 24/7 365 days a year too.

·        Seven Eleven has something for everyone. We at Lev Lalev offer each girl a tailor made and individualized  program which suites her needs and helps her reach her potential.

·        You can get nutritious food including cholent on Thursdays and Fridays. We serve nutritious food every day, something that many of girls did not get before they came to our Home.

·        The staff always greets the customers with a smile and wishes us a good day. At Lev Lalev our trained and supportive staff is always encouraging our girls. One of the important ingredients is to provide each girl with the self confidence she needs to succeed.

·        Many different types of people enter Seven Eleven and all go out satisfied. Each of our girls enters the home distraught and confused and when she leaves she has accomplished a great deal.

Seven and Eleven together equals eighteen which in Hebrew is Chai .It means life and what we do at Lev Lalev provides a lifeline to our girls. So whether you are buying a bagel, using the ATM machine, or purchasing the daily paper, just complete your task and think of the girls at the Lev Lalev Orphanage.
