My grandkids surprised me

Last night I was surprised when my son and daughter in-law and their three children walked through the door. They live in Phoenix, about 2,600 miles from New York.

Family is great especially at this time of year. Unfortunately our girls at the Lev Lalev Orphanage in Netanya, Israel don’t have the same blessings. They don’t have family support and when a holiday comes they are frequently depressed and feel their own terrible loss. We pray that when they grow up they will have a family of their own. We celebrate whenever one of our girls gets married and builds her own home.

Some of our “veterans” like Meiri from Tel Aviv, who we have previously written about have GRANDCHILDREN of their own.

Can you imagine the warm feeling that she has when her grandkids come through the door and surprise her. All of this is possible because of the generosity of those people who help support our efforts. Thus far in 2013 (with a week still remaining) we have already received over 6,000 gifts. This is a wonderful testimony to the human spirit- people who want to share with those who are less fortunate.

We at Lev Lalev Children’s Home want to thank everyone for being there for our girls. Because of your help we can provide a home and link generations for those Israeli girls in need.
