From Our Hearts to Theirs

Probably the most frequently asked question we get at Lev laLev is “what does your name mean?”. This has always been my favorite question to answer, as it immediately gets to the central meaning of our organization. Lev is the Hebrew word for heart. Lev laLev is simply “Heart to Heart” in Hebrew. For us, this is more than just a tag line. Everyone in the Lev laLev family is emotionally invested in the mission of supporting the orphaned and disadvantaged girls of the Rubin Zeffren Children’s Home in Netanya, Israel. All the time, effort and financial support put into Lev laLev travels from our hearts to the hearts of our girls.

Very often, when a girl comes to live at the Children’s Home, she has already experienced a heart break of intensity beyond her years. Many of our girls have come from seriously tragic family backgrounds, and they come to The Home with no one to love and nurture them. It is our job as an organization to ensure that the heart break stops at our doors, and we provide all the support the girls need to help them become happy and healthy members of the larger community. We encourage their ambitions, goals, and dreams.

Support for our girls can include anything from a pair of shoes, to a trip to the dentist, to emotional counseling for overcoming their hardships. These needs are many, and they are ongoing. With the special girls of the Rubin Zeffren Children’s Home in mind, consider the deeper meaning of our organization’s name and ask yourself, what can you send from your heart to theirs?

Please visit us at www.Levlalev.com for more information about the current needs of our girls, and donation opportunities.
